Bregans is a farm-slave in Book 2 of the Cambridge Latin Course. He is clearly the comic relief and is rather dim. He has few talents or skills.

Bregans' first appearance.

Bregans first appears in Stage 13, along with all the other characters. He is very tired, and wants to sleep. He cannot count. He is always the last one to be asked to do a job and isn't the most reliable.

In the story "Tres servi", Bregans drinks all of Volubilis' wine, and wants to sleep. In "Salvius fundum inspicit", he accidentally made a bull destroy the new building. It is implied that he gets in trouble for not working.

In the story "Bregans", while the slaves are waiting for Salvius (UgH), he presents a dog, which he says that can hunt beasts very well. Then, the slaves are plagued by the appearance of Salvius, who announces that he wants to inspect them. While he is inspecting the first row, Bregans calls him. However, Salvius ignores him. Bregans again calls him, this time by name. This causes him to get rly mad and then punches him, knocking him towards the ground. honestly, salvius needs to chill -.- . The dog then attacks Salvius, and has to be dragged back by a bunch of slaves. This incident went down in history as the dog became the first follower of Bregans.
